Crystal Legal’s Record Breaking Charity Donation

Crystal Legal Services have donated a record breaking amount to charity from our dress down on Fridays payroll donations.

We reached our £3,000 fund-raising goal and split the money 4 ways based on a company-wide vote. Crewe based homeless charity ‘The Lath Group’ received £450 and a further £450 went to national charity ‘Contact the Elderly’ who focus on tackling loneliness amongst older people.

With the remaining money, we visited the RSPCA in Nantwich where we donated £480 worth of toys, treats and food to the animals.

However, the charity that perhaps stole everyone’s hearts the most was the Leighton Hospital Children’s ward. We bought over £1,200 worth of toys, books, DVDs, Xbox games and toiletries for the children. Eight members of the Crystal Legal team, including case handler, David Appleton, who dressed as Father Christmas, delivered the presents personally where we were greeted by thrilled nurses who were ‘completely delighted and very grateful’ for the donations.

There were 25 members of hospital staff working on the ward on Christmas Day who distributed  the toys to the children. Managing Director, Tony Shields said: “We are really proud to be able to help so many great causes. Our staff really got behind this initiative with donation of funds, choosing the charities and even helping out with the wrapping of gifts. It’s a small contribution to support the hard work of the volunteers and staff in these organisations and on behalf of everybody at Crystal Legal Services we wish everybody a Happy New Year.”
